Lumberlok GIBQTIE Quiet Ties Bag 4

The Lumberlok Gib Quiet Ties Connector are designed to provide a structural connection between the frames of double stud walls, while maintaining the STC rating of the system. No reduction in sound transmission loss for double frame walls up to STC 68. Connections between frames may be required for seismic reasons to control independent lateral movement of adjacent floors. Connections are also often required to ensure that the stability of double frame walls is maintained in the case of a fire on one side of the wall.

• Design capacity of 4 kN in tension and 2 kN in compression
• Galvanised steel ensures superior corrosion resistance
• Supplied with 8 Lumberlok product nails - 4 nails are inserted on each side of the framing cavity in four of the six pre-punched 4 mm nail holes
• The two central 6 mm holes allow for screw fixing of the tie (screws not supplied)
